I LOVE this analogy. (Is it an analogy? Heck, I always get analogies and metaphors et al confused-and I call myself a writer. 🤪)--Anyway--what I VERY MUCH loved is the idea that some balls can be thrown away. Purge them from your mind space before you decide which are rubber and which are glass. Excellent post. (And here's to pumpkins and black raven candles and goofy autumnal decorations. My house is filled with 'em.)
Let's go with analogy. (LOL). But it could be a metaphor too. Whatever, it WORKS. I've really enjoyed thinking about glass and rubber and what to let go. On the equinox I pulled a card, asking how to meet the new challenges of this new season and got the four of swords, which is all about REST. So maybe I get to set all the balls down from time to time, which is a relief.

Thank you for this!
I LOVE this analogy. So very helpful. And “Impermanence works both ways” gave me a light-bulb moment too! 💡💖
